Kelly Salazar

 

Kelly Salazar graduated from CHS in 2008. Since graduating from CHS Kelly received her Associate's Degree in Biology from San Bernardino Valley College and afterwards, transferred to California State University San Bernardino where she is in her final year majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She plans to attend medical school after graduation. 

 

On campus, Kelly is an officer in the American Medical Student Association and an active member of the Latino Medical Student Association, where she volunteers as a Spanish translator for medical clinics that aid underserved communities. With the help of CSUSB’s PassGO program, a program promoting STEM transfer success, Kelly has been given the opportunity to serve as a panel board member to represent transfer student achievement. Kelly has also conducted extensive research on ‘Mitochondria Retrograde Regulation in Plants’ alongside her mentor and CSUSB professor Dr. Rhoads.
