Joi Fox (née Joi Armstrong) is a 2001 graduate of Cajon High School, where she was a member of the varsity swim team and played junior varsity soccer.  After working full time during the day, and attending college part time at night, she obtained her Associate of Arts from Chaffey Community College in 2006 and her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach in 2009. In 2013, she earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. 

 

During law school, Ms. Fox participated in the UC Hastings Civil Justice Clinic's Individual Representation Program, where she successfully co-chaired a wage and hour trial for several indigent clients.  She also served as Co-President of the Black Law Students Association, completed internships with the Homeless Action Center-Berkeley, Equal Rights Advocates, the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and externed with the Honorable Teri L. Jackson of the San Francisco Superior Court's Asbestos/CEQA departments.

 

Ms. Fox is currently an Associate Attorney with Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi LLP.

 

Ms. Fox enjoys mentoring high school, college, and law students and provides pro bono legal services to worthy organizations committed to helping poor and underrepresented communities.  Ms Fox currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband Leland.
