Giovanni Martinez

Giovanni Martinez graduated from Cajon High School in 2014 within the top four percent of his class. While enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme, Giovanni was very involved in extra-curricular activities. Giovanni served two terms as Cajon's ASB Class Vice President and participated in Cajon's Chamber Orchestra, Key Club, School Site Council, and National Honor Society - to name a few.

After graduating from Cajon and being selected as one of twenty-three freshman to be pre-admitted into the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planing, Giovanni began attending the University of Michigan in the Fall of 2014. Giovanni is currently a Peer Mentor in Living Arts, an interdisciplinary residential community that brings together 80 undergraduates in the arts, architecture, and engineering to explore innovation, creativity and collaboration. While attending UM, Giovanni has also served as Publicity Officer for Bursley Hall Council, a student organization aimed towards supporting the residential community of Bursley Hall; Co-Author/Editor of The Bursley Bulletin; and an active member of the University of Michigan Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS).

In the future, Giovanni plans on becoming a leading architect who helps contribute to communities around the world, one structure at a time.
