Dr. Lolita Lyles

 

Dr. Lolita L. Lyles, PhD, CFLE was born in Hinesville, Georgia and raised in San Bernardino, California. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside and a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of La Verne. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Family Studies at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Lyles is the Director of Operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Bernardino. She oversees the Creative Before and After School Programs for Success (CAPS) at various sites in the district, as well the Parent Institute for Student Achievement & College Readiness program. She is an adjunct professor at Loma Linda University in the School of Behavioral Health. She has worked as a research consultant with San Bernardino City Unified School District, and runs her own consulting business entitled Project STRONG. Dr. Lyles is also Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Bayfront Youth and Family Services located in Long Beach, CA. She is currently writing a children’s book, and working on quantitative and qualitative research publications for academic journals. Dr. Lyles enjoys volunteering her time in and around the local community, sharing her experiences and inspiring others to accomplish their goals. She is committed to excellence, as well as fostering growth, change, and resilience among youth and families.
