Danny De Maio graduated from CHS in 2006. At CHS he fell in love with reading and writing under the invaluable guidance of his English teachers. He has since earned a B.A. at Loyola Marymount University and an M.A. at Chapman University. He has written over 1,200 articles for Bangstyle and had his short stories published in Black Heart Magazine and Calliope Literary Magazine. Currently he is editing his first novel and nearing a first draft of his second. He is also co-founder and editor-in-chief of the quarterly lit 'zine Pour Vida. Beginning June 2015 he will call Chicago home.
