Christina Hurtado-Pierson

 

 

Christina Hurtado-Pierson is a NYC-based producer and dramaturg for Martian Media. She recently made her directing debut with the documentary Transmilitary, which premiered at the Queer Film Festival in Eugene, OR. She previously served as the story consultant for the documentary feature MOUNT LAWRENCE, and as a writer and producer on the television pilot Sox News. Upcoming projects include BLINK (feature film), Kate + Date  (web series) and In The Rubber Room (feature film).

 

Prior to Martian, Christina spent ten years as a theatrical dramaturg and script consultant in New York and Manchester, UK. Theater credits include COOL HAND LUKE (Godlight), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (CSC), ARABIAN NIGHTS (Williamstown), ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEWST (Godlight), and THE POOR OF NEW YORK (Connelly). She is the resident dramaturg for the award-winning Godlight Theatre Company. She received her Bachelors Degree from Pomona College and her Masters Degree from Columbia University.
